Focused Futures was founded by Eldon Davis in 2021, when he chose to fuse his 20 years of IT recruitment, CIPD HR and Life Coaching Certifications to create a multi-service Talent Management business.

Focus Futures Consultancy has allowed him to express his values, work ethic, and use his skills to deliver successful outcomes to SME and Fintechs. Eldon has provided an Interim Talent Acquisition Service, Traditional Contingency Recruitment and Life and Career Coaching services to a range of customers, mainly B2B and B2C.

During the time of COVID, Eldon was unfortunately made redundant. During this period of reflection and a huge job search, he decided to do a Life Coaching Course designed by the inspirational Kain Ramsey Archology. This helped Eldon through the extremely challenging period and also enabled him to fulfil a long term passion. He practiced the material and questions on his wife, family and other jobseekers.  He created a website, honed his skills and turned his ‘side-hustle’ into a successful life coaching business where he has supported 15 staff members of the David Lloyds IT team. Many of which he continues to mentor currently. Eldon has written a 12 module programme to help employees become more effective and productive and is designed to enable them to restructure their thinking, build new habits and beliefs to help both at home and at work and deliver a higher quality service for their evolving business.

In parallel, Eldon realised that a number of SME businesses, after the initial 6 months of doom and uncertainty, needed to hire experienced resources in Microsoft and other technology domains. However, they couldn’t justify the cost of hiring a full time permanent Recruiter. Clients wanted a flexible model based on their changing demands. Therefore, he developed a service that enabled clients to utilise his services on an Interim period of 3-16 months and 2-4 days per week. His service has proved to be a success for businesses with a spike in roles, those experiencing long term absences and those where the HR Manager is also the recruiter. Using these experiences, Eldon has developed a framework process appropriately called H.I.R.E.S (Headhunting and Search, Interrogation (behavioral interviewing for clients), Roundtable (advising on internal interview process), Extend (offer management) and Support (after placement coaching and The First 100 Days module).

Eldon’s framework has been used by companies he has worked with; Coeo, Adaptivity and Simpson Associates, all leading Microsoft partners who have made rapid progress with employees having successfully gained promotions quickly.
