The West London Business Awards 2024 will showcase business excellence and the entries are are now open and will be until Friday, the 6th of October for all organisations doing business in West London.

The annual WLB Awards are established as one of the pre-eminent award schemes in the capital. It celebrated its tenth anniversary earlier this year and now enter a second decade of spotlighting business excellence in West London’s business community.

The eleventh edition of the awards will showcase business excellence in West London around six themes: ‘SME Sector leadership’, ‘Sustainable & responsible business’, ‘Economic growth’, ‘Corporate leadership’, ‘Individual leadership’ and ‘Next Generation’, featuring up-and-coming West London business talent. Whatever the sector, whatever the business, there is a category to enter.

A key date in the West London Business Calendar, the gala awards ceremony in February 2024 will bring together over 500 guests from across the sub-region’s business community, as well as representation from central and local government – a truly unique and special occasion. Partners include: Heathrow, Brunel University London, University of West London, Venture X, Westfield London, AWS, HRUC, West London Institute of Technology and Ultra Education.

This year, 26 awards will be up for grabs, and all organisations that trade in West London* are eligible to enter until Friday 6 October 2023.

Early bird entries cost £20 (£30 after Friday 8 September), redeemable against the cost of a ticket at the gala ceremony in February 2024.

Out of all the winners, one will be awarded the prestigious title of West London Company of the Year 2024, last year won by Lamington Group. Other notable award winners in 2023 included: West London Company of the Decade, won by Wrapology; West London Business Leader of the Year, given to Frank Khalid OBE, Founder, West London Film Studios; and the Lifetime Achievement in Business Award, granted to Peter Johnson, Chair, Vivalda Group.

West London Chambers of Commerce has partnered with The Business Innovation Expo to launch the two-day Business Revival Series bringing together business owners, managers and entrepreneurs for networking and learning.

The West London Skills Summit will bring together local employers and skills/training institutions to contribute to an informed and represented London Local Skills Improvement Plan, an initiative funded by the Department of Education to ensure higher education/skills suits local labour market needs.

The London Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) aims to build a stronger and more dynamic relationship between the employers and skill providers within the local skills system, and plays a crucial role in tackling technical skills shortages. This is of utmost importance in the current economic climate, in an exceptionally tight labour market.

West London Business and West London Alliance own the credit for the sub-region’s annex to the London LSIP. The West London Skills Summit will provide the stage to ensure the representation of diverse voices to contribute to LSIP.

The Summit is a fully catered, all-day event with networking events in between hosted at the West Hall, University of West London. The entry fee is £10.
